Don Papa is a premium Philippine rum from the island of Negros – a region its inhabitants affectionately call "Sugarlandia" because it produces the majority of the nation's sugar. Founded in 2011 by Stephen Carroll and Andrew John Garcia, the brand debuted in Bacolod in 2012 and has since become the Philippines' most renowned rum producer. The name honors Papa Isio, a rebel leader of the Philippine Revolution of the 1890s – a testament to Don Papa Rum's commitment to telling a story. At the heart of the brand's philosophy is an aging process in American oak barrels, where the tropical climate contributes an angel's share of up to 12% per year, resulting in exceptional density and depth.
