Heppenheimer Centgericht Weißburgunder Crescentia VDP Erste Lage

A Pinot Blanc from one of the most historically significant sites on the Bergstrasse — the name Centgericht goes back to a medieval court site where justice was administered for over a thousand years.

The Bergstraße estate dates back to a foundation established by the Grand Ducal Administration of Hesse-Darmstadt in 1904 and has been part of the Hessian State Wineries Kloster Eberbach since 1946—one of the oldest wineries in Germany. The VDP. Erste Lage (Premier Cru) classification designates the parcels on the Heppenheimer Landberg as a first-class single vineyard, selectively cultivated for over a century.

The Pinot Blanc displays a creamy texture on the palate with a fresh acidity: aromas of yellow apple, white peach, and a hint of hazelnut; the finish is dry and mineral. Typical for Pinot Blanc from the Bergstrasse region at this quality level—rich, yet never heavy.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Drinking window: 2024–2028. Pairs well with veal medallions with creamed mushrooms, roasted monkfish or a mature Brie de Meaux.

Bergstraße Estate / Eberbach Monastery

The Bergstraße/Kloster Eberbach estate is known for its white wines from one of Germany's smallest and sunniest wine regions – the Hessian Bergstraße. Vinoscout currently offers two wines from this selection, including a Pinot Blanc and a Pinot Gris, which reflect the characteristic lightness and freshness of this region. With prices between €14.28 and €16.80, they provide an easy introduction to the wines of the Bergstraße.
