Domäne Bergstraße –
Fresh white wines from the sunny monastery estate

The Hessian Bergstrasse is one of Germany's smallest wine regions – and one of the warmest. Between Darmstadt and Heidelberg, where the vineyards slope westward towards the Rhine plain, the sites benefit from a mild microclimate that produces white wines with exceptional ripeness and vibrant freshness.

The Bergstraße estate , closely linked to the historic Eberbach Monastery in the Rheingau region, cultivates these vineyards with the aim of clearly reflecting the character of the region in the glass. Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris are the focus: uncomplicated in the best sense, with a lightness that suits everyday life as well as a meal with friends.

At Vinoscout you can currently find two wines from this range – a solid entry into a region that is often overlooked outside the Rheingau, but regularly surprises with its freshness and accessibility.
