Heppenheimer Centgericht Grauburgunder Crescentia VDP. Erste Lage
Since 1971, the Hessian Bergstrasse has been an independent wine-growing region. Nestled between the Main, Rhine, and Neckar rivers, it is the third smallest in Germany, with only around 430 hectares of vineyards. The Steinberg vineyard, facing south to southwest, has a medium to deep, skeletal soil with a fresh texture. In the lower part, the soil consists of sandy to clayey loam, while the upper part features stony and gravelly slate soils. The wall surrounding the vineyard, built by monks in the 18th century, protects the site from cold air and once served as a barrier against grape theft and wild animals. The wine itself impresses with its crystalline minerality, finesse, and elegance, as well as a delicate citrus fruitiness.

Domäne Bergstraße / Kloster Eberbach
The Bergstraße/Kloster Eberbach estate is known for its white wines from one of Germany's smallest and sunniest wine regions – the Hessian Bergstraße. Vinoscout currently offers two wines from this selection, including a Pinot Blanc and a Pinot Gris, which reflect the characteristic lightness and freshness of this region. With prices between €14.28 and €16.80, they provide an easy introduction to the wines of the Bergstraße.
