Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) Blason de L'Evangile Magnum HK

The Blason de l'Évangile is the second wine of Château l'Évangile – one of the most respected estates in Pomerol, in the hands of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1990. The magnum format offers a real advantage: the larger bottle slows down maturation, stabilizes the aromatics, and makes the wine look particularly impressive on the table.

Deep ruby red in the glass with violet reflections. On the nose, raspberry, blackcurrant, and a hint of violet – the classic profile of Merlot-dominated Pomerol soils with their characteristic blue clay and gravel content. Silky and full-bodied on the palate, the tannins are ripe and fine-grained, the acidity well-integrated. The finish shows fresh fruit with pleasant length.

Pairs well with rack of lamb with a herb crust, an entrecôte, or a hearty mushroom risotto. Mature Camembert also stands up well to this wine. Drinking temperature 16–18 °C, open about 30 minutes before pouring. The magnum is suitable for a large group, a special evening, or as a gift that leaves an impression.

Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)

Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) – a name that hardly needs an introduction in the wine world. For over 150 years, this Médoc estate has stood for what has made Bordeaux famous worldwide: wines with depth, elegance, and a tranquility that defies description. Behind this prestigious name is a family that doesn't just manage winemaking as an inheritance, but actively shapes it. From the Grands Crus in Bordeaux to projects in Chile, Argentina, and China – the Rothschilds think big without losing sight of the details. Every wine bears this signature: precise, balanced, with fruit that takes its time to unfold. Sustainable practices play an increasingly important role – in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. You can taste it: no rush, no excess, but wine that wants to tell you something.
