Domaine d'Aussières Blason d'Aussières Rouge

The Blason d'Aussières is the entry-level wine in the Domaine d'Aussières range – and it doesn't do things by halves. Herbal aromas, dark fruit, a firm body: this is Corbières as it should be.

The winery lies in the heart of the Corbières, between Narbonne and the foothills of the Pyrenees. The estate has belonged to Baron Philippe de Rothschild since 2000 – Bordeaux expertise meets Languedoc terroir. The soils: dry, calcareous garrigue, strong sunshine, little rain. Typical Mediterranean, and you can taste it.

In the glass, it displays a deep, dark ruby ​​red. The nose offers ripe blackberry and cherry, along with lavender and thyme – the local herbs are clearly present. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with structured tannins that are smooth yet well-integrated. Oak aging imparts a hint of vanilla and toasty notes on the finish, which lingers with a warm, spicy note.
