Unlike almost all other VSOP cognacs, Frapin VSOP comes exclusively from the Grande Champagne, the finest cognac region classified as "Premier Grand Cru" by French law. The youngest distillate is aged for over eight years, not just the four required by law. Frapin's Maître Chai uses not just any oak for aging, but the finest Limousin oak, indulging himself and Frapin enthusiasts worldwide with the luxury of maturing a quarter of the distillate in new oak barrels. The result of this exceptional patience and dedication is easily discernible. Frapin VSOP is amber in color with golden highlights. A complex, smooth, and harmonious, yet multifaceted cognac. The aroma offers delicate fruit notes, subtle floral aromas, and an inviting hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is powerful, elegant, and long-lasting.
