Chivas Regal 12 Years

Chivas Regal 12 is the classic blended Scotch from Chivas Brothers – a whisky that has stood for the soft, approachable style of Speyside for decades.

Behind this blend are distillates from the Scottish Highlands region, including Longmorn as the defining core malt. Chivas Brothers – now part of Pernod Ricard – were already blending Scotch for the premium market in the 19th century. The 12-year-old is the entry-level flagship of this tradition: all whiskies in the blend mature for at least twelve years in American and European oak casks.

In the glass, it displays the typical Speyside character: honey, ripe apples, and vanilla on the nose, underpinned by a hint of hazelnut and toffee. On the palate, it is full-bodied and smooth, with mild sweetness and barely perceptible spice. The finish is velvety and medium-long – no harsh edges, no peatiness.

An uncomplicated introduction to blended Scotch: neat at room temperature, with a large ice cube, or as the base for a classic Whisky Sour. Those who appreciate the style as an aperitif can combine it with ginger ale and a lemon zest.

Chivas Regal

For over 200 years, Chivas Regal has stood for Scottish blended Scotch whisky with character. What began in Aberdeen in 1801 as a small grocery store has become an icon – known for its smooth, generous style. The Chivas signature is unmistakable: creamy, fruity, with a hint of honey and gentle spices. Not an edgy whisky, but one that invites you in. Whether for your first glass of Scotch or as a reliable companion for experienced palates. Behind the blends lies true craftsmanship: the art of combining different malt and grain whiskies in such a way that the result is more than the sum of its parts. This is not a compromise – it is a discipline in itself.
