Chateau Paradis Casseuil Rouge

Château Paradis Casseuil Rouge is an elegant red wine from the Bordeaux region of France, produced by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in the northern Entre-deux-Mers near Casseuil. The wine is a blend of predominantly Merlot , complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which ripen on gravelly, clay, and sandy soils.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color. The nose is fruity and harmonious, with aromas of cherry, currant, raspberry, blackcurrant, and blackberry, complemented by subtle notes of oak, tobacco, and a touch of spice. On the palate, the Casseuil Rouge is full-bodied, smooth, and balanced, with silky, well-integrated tannins, a clear structure, and a long, slightly toasty, and lingering finish.

The typical alcohol content is around 13.5% ABV; the wine is ideally served at 16–18 °C, slightly decanted. It pairs excellently with beef and lamb, braised dishes, game, or aged cheeses and is designed to be consumed young, but can be aged for several years to allow the aromas to develop.
