Ceretto Langhe Arneis Blangé DOC

Blangé is the most famous face of the once almost forgotten Arneis grape – and Ceretto has played a major role in ensuring that this Piedmontese grape variety is once again on international wine lists.

The Ceretto winery has been rooted in the Langhe region since the 1930s and is considered one of the region's leading producers – both for Nebbiolo and for rare white wines like Arneis. Their vineyards in the Roero, on the hilly opposite bank of the Tanaro River, provide the basis for this dry white wine, which has been setting standards for decades.

In the glass, it displays a bright golden yellow color. The nose opens with aromas of ripe apple, pear, and a hint of orange blossom – typical of Arneis, who combines this floral character with a subtle almond note. On the palate, it is juicy and lively, with fresh acidity that gives the wine structure without making it stiff. The finish is short to medium-long, aromatic, and pleasantly dry.

Serving suggestion: Best enjoyed young – the drinking window is two to three years. Served at 10–12 °C, it pairs well with vitello tonnato, fish risotto, grilled shrimp, or mild soft cheeses. It's also a solid choice as a simple aperitif with focaccia.
