Ceretto

Ceretto is more than a winery – it's a family story that has been unfolding in the hills of the Langhe since the 1930s. What began with purchased grapes was transformed into something special by Bruno and Marcello Ceretto: they recognized early on the importance of the land – and bought the best vineyard sites in the region.

Today, the third generation stands for unwavering respect for the terroir and organic viticulture – certified organic since 2015. Their Barolos and Barbareschi are an expression of a region that you simply must experience in your glass.

Ceretto Langhe Arneis Blangé DOC

Ceretto –
Langhe terroir in three generations

Ceretto is a name that stands for something specific in the Langhe region: the conviction that great wine comes from great vineyards – and nowhere else. What Riccardo Ceretto began as a small merchant in the 1930s, his sons Bruno and Marcello transformed into a winery with a clear vision. They systematically bought the best parcels in the region – in Barolo, Barbaresco, and the surrounding Langhe villages – at a time when the concept of single-vineyard wines was not yet commonplace in Piedmont.

Today, the third generation continues to run the winery, staying true to its roots. Since 2015, all vineyards have been certified organic, and the work in the cellar follows the vines' natural instincts. Ceretto's Barolos and Barbareschi demonstrate what Nebbiolo can achieve when grown in the right soils: a structure that develops over time, aromas of dried rose, tar, and cherries, and a lingering finish.

Anyone who wants to understand the Langhe cannot ignore Ceretto – as an introduction to the region or as a reference point for experienced Piedmont lovers.
