Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon
Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant, powerful red wine from the Cederberg wine region in the Western Cape of South Africa. The wine is made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at an altitude of around 1,000 meters, where cool nights and mineral-rich soils ensure slow, concentrated ripening.
In the glass, it displays a dense, vibrant ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is rich and complex, with aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, plum, cherry, cocoa, tobacco, cedar, mint, and delicate spices. Aging in French oak barrels (approximately 14–15 months) imparts a subtle, elegant oak note without overpowering the fruit.
On the palate, the Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied, juicy, and structured, with fine, velvety yet assertive tannins, crisp acidity, and a long, spicy finish full of dark berries, chocolate, and wood. It pairs perfectly with grilled beef, lamb, game, or strong cheeses and is ideally served at 16–18 °C, lightly decanted.
