CCMXV Moser Family Cabernet Sauvignon

A Cabernet Sauvignon from Ningxia, China's most famous wine region, with cassis, tobacco, and a hint of vanilla. Powerfully structured, yet accessible.

Château Changyu Moser XV represents the bridge between Chinese terroir and European viticultural culture. Ningxia is located at the foot of the Helan Mountains in the northwest of the country. The region has a dry continental climate with large temperature differences between day and night, ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The small, concentrated berries bring a lot of fruit intensity to the glass.

In the glass, ripe cassis notes, fine tobacco, and subtle vanilla appear. Aging in French oak gives the wine depth and spice without masking the fruit. On the palate, it is powerful and dense, with freshness keeping it lively. The finish carries the dark fruit and spice further.

Recommendation: Decant it briefly and serve at 16 to 18 °C. It goes with grilled beef steak, braised lamb, duck breast, or aged hard cheese.

The Château

Château Changyu Moser XV

Château Changyu Moser XV stands for wine from China, specifically for a style of viticulture that sounds different from what you might expect. Our focus is on Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape variety you are otherwise more likely to know from Bordeaux or California.

The wines show how versatile this grape can be: dark berry fruit, a spicy note, and a structure that invites you to pair it with food. They go perfectly with a pot roast or a strong hard cheese.

You can currently find five wines from this estate in our shop. Try them out if you feel like discovering something new and compare the style with what you already know from Cabernet.
