Cape of Good Hope Altima Sauvignon Blanc

Cape of Good Hope Altima Sauvignon Blanc
A Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa's highlands that surprises with cool precision and genuine minerality – not a loud wine, but a thoughtful one.
Cape of Good Hope is the single-vineyard line from Anthonij Rupert Wines in the Franschhoek region. The Altima cuvée comes from high-altitude vineyards – cool nights and well-drained soils slow ripening and preserve the natural acidity of the grapes.
In the glass, aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, and a hint of white currant are revealed. The acidity is lively but embedded in a juicy abundance of fruit and a subtle yeasty texture, which gives the wine a rounded body despite its freshness. The finish is long and salty-mineral.
Serving suggestion: Serve well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled sea bass with lemon butter, goat cheese salads, or a classic bouillabaisse with plenty of fennel and saffron. Drinking window: now until 2027.
