Cape of Good Hope Altima Sauvignon Blanc

A Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa's high altitudes that surprises with cool precision and real minerality – not a loud wine, but a thoughtful one.

Cape of Good Hope is the single-vineyard line from Anthonij Rupert Wines from the Franschhoek region. The Altima cuvée comes from high-altitude sites – cool nights and well-drained soils slow down ripening and preserve the natural acid structure of the vines.

In the glass, grapefruit, lemon zest and a hint of white currant appear. The acidity is lively, but embedded in a juicy fruit fullness and subtle yeast texture, which give the wine a round body despite its freshness. The finish is long, salty-mineral.

Serving recommendation: Serve well chilled at 10–12 °C. Goes well with grilled sea bass with lemon butter, goat cheese salads or a classic bouillabaisse approach with plenty of fennel and saffron.
