The Buitenverwachting winery is located in the Constantia region of the Cape, where winemaking was established as early as the 17th century by the Dutchman Simon van Stel. On approximately 150 hectares of historic soil, owner Lars Maack and winemaker Hermann Kirschbaum work diligently to extract the very best from this unique location. The result: a Sauvignon Blanc of impressive clarity and typicity, awarded 90 points by Wine Spectator and 4.5 stars in Platter's South African Wine Guide .

The Winery
Buitenverwachting is Constantia's white wine legend at the Cape of Good Hope. "Beyond all expectations" – that is the translation of the name of this special winery from Constantia, South Africa's oldest wine-growing region.
The family winery, which has existed for over 250 years, is located just 10 km south of Cape Town and benefits from a unique location between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. On the world's oldest granite soils, internationally awarded wines are created here under the German management of Lars Maack.
The Sauvignon Blanc in particular belongs to the South African top class.
