Brecciarolo Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC

Brecciarolo Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC
The Brecciarolo is Velenosi's flagship Rosso Piceno Superiore – a red wine from the Marche region that shows what Montepulciano and Sangiovese can achieve together when location and craftsmanship are right.
Behind the winery is Ercole Velenosi, who has built the family business into one of the region's leading producers since the 1980s – with vineyards around Ascoli Piceno in the southern Marche region. Oenologist Attilio Pagli, known for his work in Tuscany and Abruzzo, is responsible for the winemaking: aging in oak barrels gives the wine structure and depth without obscuring its regional origin.
In the glass, the Brecciarolo displays dark blackberry and ripe plum, along with notes of violet and a hint of cedar from barrel aging. The body is firm, the tannins ripe and well-integrated, and the finish is long with a spicy, slightly mineral aftertaste.
