Barolo 'Costa di Bussia' DOCG

The Barolo 'Costa di Bussia' comes from one of the most prestigious single vineyards in Piedmont — the Cru vineyard Bussia in Monforte d'Alba, known for its deep soils and ability to produce particularly delicate Nebbiolo wines.

The Costa di Bussia estate has a remarkable history: Luigi Arnulfo acquired the property in 1874 and was far ahead of his time—he bottled Barolo when it was still far from common practice and tapped into international markets early on. Today, Paolo Sartirano continues to run the winery. On the nose, the wine opens with aromas of faded roses, ripe cherries, and a cool hint of menthol—the classic aromatic profile of a well-aged Nebbiolo from Bussia. On the palate, it is supple, with soft, well-integrated tannins and a subtle spiciness that supports the body without overpowering it. The finish is long and precise.

Best served at 16–18 °C . Pairs well with Brasato al Barolo, wild boar goulash, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, or truffle dishes. If drinking the wine young, decant it at least one hour before serving.
