“Bouquet of Aromas” Sauvignon Blanc Bianco Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC

The "bouquet of aromas" lives up to its name: on the nose, elderflower, white peach, cassis, menthol, and gooseberry meet, with a cool, smoky minerality underneath.

Antonio Bragato bottles this Sauvignon Blanc under the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC designation of origin. The hills in northeastern Italy, near the Slovenian border, are among the most renowned white wine sites in the country. Here, the grape variety shows its typical herbal spice and cassis fruit without tipping into the grassy.

On the palate, the wine is taut, dense, and juicy, cool and elegant in its flow. The acidity carries it and plays with the substantial body. The finish is long and aromatic, with a delicate melt.

Serve it at 8 to 10 °C. It pairs well with white asparagus with herbs, fresh goat cheese, fried sea fish, or prawns with lemongrass. As an aperitif, it has enough structure to stand on its own.
