paternoster
Paternoster is one of the great names in the southern Italian wine world – rooted in Basilicata, the wild heart of the Italian boot. Here, at the foot of the extinct volcano Monte Vulture, the Aglianico grapes grow on mineral-rich soils, producing wines with depth, structure and unmistakable character.
What has distinguished Paternoster for generations is a consistent connection to the terroir – no trends, no compromises. The wines tell stories of earth, fire, and time.
Earth, Fire and Time –
Paternoster lift on Monte Vulture
For generations, the Paternoster Aglianico family has cultivated vines on the slopes of the extinct volcano Monte Vulture. The black volcanic ash soils give the wines their dense minerality and structural depth – not an adaptation to fashion trends, but simply an expression of an exceptional terroir in Basilicata.
