GIULIANO TARTUFI
Giuliano Tartufi –
Truffle passion from the heart of Umbria
What began in 1991 as a one-man operation is today one of Italy's most renowned truffle houses: Giuliano Tartufi from Pietralunga , a small town in the Umbrian Apennines, where the forests have been among Italy's most productive truffle habitats for centuries. Founder Giuliano Martinelli was already out in the woods with his dog in the early 1980s – long before he turned it into a business.
The transition from passionate truffle hunter to producer came in 1991. Since then, Giuliano Tartufi has been processing fresh truffles into pastes, oils, sauces, and preserves – all made in his own laboratory in Pietralunga. The raw materials come from the immediate vicinity: black winter truffles, summer truffles, and the coveted white truffle from the Apennines. No long transport routes, short processing times – that's the difference compared to industrial products.
Vinoscout's selection includes select specialties from Giuliano Tartufi: from classic truffle paste to flavored oils. Ideal as an ingredient for pasta, risotto, or scrambled eggs – or as a gift for people who appreciate gourmet foods with authentic origins.
