On 29 hectares, the Becker family doesn't follow trends, but rather works according to their convictions – with a consistency that can be tasted in the glass. Friedrich Becker is one of those wineries that everyone knows without having to make a big deal about it. For seven generations, the family has been cultivating vines in Schweigen-Rechtenbach , a small village in the Southern Palatinate that literally borders France – the vineyards end where Alsace begins. This location is no accident, but rather a deliberate choice: limestone soils, a mild climate, and the proximity to the Burgundian tradition have made the winery one of the most compelling producers of Pinot Noir in Germany.

On 29 hectares, the family works consistently with Burgundy varieties – Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc. No trends, no fashionable varieties. The wines mature in oak barrels, are crafted with care and minimal intervention, and exhibit a depth one would more readily expect to find in the Côte de Nuits than in the Palatinate. Since 2000, the winery has been a member of the VDP, the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates – a membership that affirms, rather than establishes, the estate's commitment.
