Becker Spätburgunder dry

Pinot Noir from the southern pillar of the Palatinate – tightly structured, yet surprisingly fine: This is Friedrich Becker's entry into one of the strongest Pinot Noir addresses in Germany.

Friedrich Becker cultivates vineyards directly on the border with Alsace, around Schweigen-Rechtenbach. The soils alternate between limestone and shell limestone – typical for this southernmost tip of the Palatinate, which is climatically and geologically closer to Burgundy than to the Rhine plain. The dry Pinot Noir is Becker's most approachable red wine, but already reflects the estate's style: precision over richness.

In the glass, ripe sour cherry, a hint of herbal spice, and a subtle minerality that keeps the wine vibrant. Medium-bodied, with fine-grained tannins and a juicy flow. The finish returns to the cherry fruit – clear, direct, and lingering. No loud notes, but plenty of substance.
