Their passion: winemaking in symbiosis with centuries-old tradition and visionary modernity. 1200 hectares of estate in the foothills of Monte Amiata, 120 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 300 meters, just 30 kilometers from the sea. Organically farmed from the very beginning. In the spectacular gravity-fed cellar, winemaker Luca Marrone crafts wines with character. The heart of it all: over 60-year-old Sangiovese vines from the Poggio Lombrone cru. In 2014, ColleMassari was awarded "Cellar of the Year" by Gambero Rosso. Tuscany you can taste.

In 1998, siblings Maria Iris Bertarelli and Claudio Tipa acquired a 13th-century castle in the southern Tuscan Maremma region and transformed it into one of the area's most dedicated wineries. The Colle Massari estate encompasses 1,200 hectares in the foothills of Monte Amiata, including 120 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of approximately 300 meters, just 30 kilometers from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The combination of altitude, marine influence, and volcanic soils shapes the style of the wines: structured, yet with a cool freshness not always expected in the Maremma.

From the very beginning, the estate has been organically managed – not as a marketing promise, but as a fundamental principle. In the gravity-fed cellar, which operates without pumps, cellar master Luca Marrone works with the utmost care for the materials. The heart of the estate lies in the over 60-year-old Sangiovese vines in the Poggio Lombrone cru, from which the most complex bottlings are created. In 2014, Gambero Rosso named Colle Massari "Cellar of the Year" – an accolade that perfectly reflects the estate's commitment.
