Château Berliquet lies in the heart of Saint-Émilion , right on the border with Pomerol – one of the most privileged locations on the entire right bank of the Gironde. The soils here alternate between limestone plateau and clay-rich loams, giving the wines a characteristic density and a cool minerality rarely found in this combination.

Since 2018, the Château has belonged to the Wertheimer family, who are also behind Chanel, and have invested considerable effort in revitalizing the estate. The vineyards have been systematically converted to organic farming, and the cellar technology has been modernized without abandoning the estate's classic style. The primary grapes used are Merlot and Cabernet Franc, which together produce wines with a velvety texture, dark fruit, and a long, structured finish.

Château Berliquet's cuvées pair well with braised beef, game birds, or aged hard cheeses. Those drinking these wines young should decant them – they develop their full complexity with several years of cellaring.
