Bruichladdich Distillery

Bruichladdich is no ordinary chapter in the history of Scotch whisky – it's a new beginning. Since the reopening of the Victorian distillery on Islay in 2001, the team has been demonstrating just how distinctive, honest, and forward-looking single malt can be.

Three characters, one island: the unpeated Bruichladdich with its delicate grain notes, the smoky Port Charlotte with its dry peat and barbecue depth – and the extreme Octomore , which combines intensity with surprising elegance. Bruichladdich is the first Scottish whisky company in the world to carry the B Corp seal – a commitment you can taste in every glass.

Bruichladdich –
a distinctive single malt from the island of Islay

Bruichladdich represents one of the most unusual approaches in Scottish whisky. The Victorian distillery on the west coast of Islay was reopened in 2001 – and has since been consistently run against the grain: no corporate thinking, no uniform taste, but three clearly distinct characters under one roof.

The classic Bruichladdich remains unpeated and thrives on delicate cereal notes and fruit. Port Charlotte brings dry peat and a smoky depth reminiscent of barbecue and sea air. Octomore goes further than any other: extremely peated, yet surprisingly elegant on the finish – a contradiction that unfolds beautifully in the glass.

Bruichladdich is the first Scottish whisky company in the world to carry the B Corp seal – an award for social and environmental responsibility that is reflected in the distillery's operations: from sourcing the barley on Islay to bottling on site. Anyone looking for whisky with a conscience will find three answers here at once.
