Wiener gemischter Satz Ulm-Nussberg DAC Ried Ulm-Nussberg QW Vienna 0.75L

The Wiener Gemischter Satz is a Viennese specialty that hardly exists elsewhere: several grape varieties grow together in one site and are harvested together. At the Wieninger winery, this approach comes to full fruition on the Ulm-Nussberg — one of Vienna's most renowned sites, high above the city with a view of St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Fritz Wieninger is one of the pioneers who established the Wiener Gemischter Satz as an independent wine culture. The winery cultivates its areas organically certified (AT-BIO-402) and has contributed significantly to the fact that Vienna is now a seriously regarded wine region with its own DAC status. The Ried Ulm-Nussberg stands for wines with structure and depth.

In the glass, it shows a dry white wine with an aromatic nose: passion fruit and ripe apple meet a fine almond note and a subtle roasted aroma. The palate is lively, with fresh acidity and a pleasantly long finish.

Best served at 10–12 °C — as an accompaniment to Wiener Schnitzel, fried zander, or a plate of mature mountain cheese. It also cuts a fine figure as an aperitif on the terrace.
