TONNO - Tomato sauce with tuna and capers

A classic southern Italian combination: diced tomatoes, tuna, capers, and bell peppers blended into a rich, flavorful sauce. Sugo Tonno requires no lengthy preparation—straight from the jar into the pan, briefly heated, and it's ready.

The sauce clings particularly well to ribbed or coiled pasta shapes like penne, fusilli, or casarecce, which absorb the sugo into every crevice. Maccheroni also works well. Serving temperature: hot, fresh from the pan —finished with a drizzle of olive oil and fresh parsley.

A dry Sicilian white wine such as Grillo or Catarratto, which complements the caper acidity, or a light Vermentino from Sardinia would be a good match.
