Terre di Campo Sasso Primitivo di Manduria DOC

Primitivo di Manduria is one of the most characterful wines of Apulia — and this one shows why: dark-fruited, spicy, with a velvety texture that never feels heavy despite its power.

Terre di Campo Sasso produces in the Manduria zone in the south of Apulia, where the Primitivo grape has thrived on red limestone soils for centuries. The intense sunlight and dry summers ensure the typical concentration of the fruit. After hand-picking and mash fermentation, the wine matures for up to six months in large barriques — long enough to smooth the tannins without masking the fruity profile.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose brings ripe blackberry, plum, and a distinct hint of tobacco, underscored by lavender and dried herbs. On the palate, full body, soft tannin, and a moderate acidity that carries the long, slightly spicy finish.
