Terrazas de los Andes Malbec

A Malbec from Mendoza's high altitudes — where cool nights sharpen the aromas and the wine develops more structure than in the flat valley.

Terrazas de los Andes cultivates vineyards at altitudes between 900 and over 1,400 meters in the Andes Mountains. The altitude is not a marketing ploy, but the decisive factor: greater temperature differences between day and night extend the ripening period and preserve the grapes' natural acidity.

In the glass, the Malbec displays aromas of sour cherry and plum, accompanied by a hint of violet—typical for this grape variety in the region. Twelve months of aging in French oak barrels impart a subtle spiciness: gentle cedarwood and a touch of vanilla. Medium-bodied, with soft tannins and a pleasantly long finish.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Drinking window: now until 2027. Pairs well with grilled beef fillet, leg of lamb with herbs, or a mature Manchego cheese.

Bodegas Terrazas

Terrazas de los Andes – wine from the high altitudes of the Argentinian Andes. At elevations between 900 and over 1,400 meters, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes thrive under intense sunshine, cooled by cold mountain winds. The idea: the higher the vineyard, the cooler the climate – the more vibrant the wine. Fresh fruit, fine structure, true depth. What makes Terrazas special? The respect for the altitude. Each vineyard brings its own unique character. The result: wines that showcase Argentina – powerful, warming, surprisingly fresh.
