Terrazas de los Andes Malbec

A Malbec from Mendoza's high altitudes — where cool nights sharpen the aromatics and the wine develops more structure than in the flat valley.

Terrazas de los Andes cultivates vineyards between 900 and over 1,400 meters above sea level in the Andes Cordillera. The altitude is not a marketing concept, but the decisive factor: greater temperature differences between day and night extend the ripening period and preserve the natural acidity of the grapes.

In the glass, the Malbec shows aromas of sour cherry and plum, accompanied by a hint of violets — typical for the grape variety in this region. Twelve months of aging in French oak barrels add a subtle spice underneath: soft cedar wood, a trace of vanilla. Medium body, soft tannins, pleasantly long finish.

Drinking temperature: 16–18 °C. Goes well with grilled beef fillet, leg of lamb with herbs, or a mature Manchego.

Bodegas Terrazas

Terrazas de los Andes – wine from the high altitudes of the Argentine Andes. At altitudes between 900 and over 1,400 meters, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grow under intense sun, cooled by cold mountain winds.

The idea: the higher the vineyard, the cooler the climate – the livelier the wine. Fresh fruit, fine structure, real depth.

What makes Terrazas special? The respect for the altitude. Each vineyard brings its own character. The result: wines that show Argentina – powerful, warming, surprisingly fresh.
