Sugo con pomodoro San Marzano DOP

San Marzano tomatoes are considered the benchmark among plum tomatoes: grown in the volcanic soils around Mount Vesuvius, protected by the DOP designation of origin. This sugo sticks to the essentials — San Marzano tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, basil. No fillers, no additives.

The result is a fruity, acidic sauce with natural sweetness and a clear tomato flavor. Use it as a pizza base, on fresh pasta, or as the foundation for arrabbiata and amatriciana. Tip: Simmer it with a splash of dry southern Italian wine like Primitivo or Nero d'Avola—the acidity of the tomatoes will be reflected in the wine.
