Secret del Priorat

Secret del Priorat
Deep, dark ruby red, almost opaque – the Secret del Priorat shows in the glass what makes Priorat special: power, depth and mineral tension from one of Spain's most fascinating terroirs.
Priorat lies in the hinterland of Tarragon, wedged between rugged slate slopes of the typical Llicorella rock. Here, the vines compete for water and nutrients – the result is grapes with concentrated fruit and pronounced character. Garnacha and Cariñena, the classic grape varieties of the region, produce wines in this climate that combine warmth and minerality.
The nose offers dark forest berries, black plum, and black pepper, underpinned by the typical mineral note of the Llicorella slate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and fleshy, with dense yet gently mature tannins. The finish is long and lingering – dates, dried figs, and a hint of licorice.
