Sauvignon Blanc WO Marlborough 0.75L
Marlborough is considered the undisputed heart of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, and the Babich family winery is among the historical pioneers of this development. The family has been dedicated to winemaking since 1916 and is now in its third generation, bottling its immense experience. The grapes for this dry white wine come from select vineyards in the region, where cool nights and intense sunshine ensure slow ripening and a particularly pronounced, refined aromatic profile.
In the glass, the wine presents itself in a bright, pale yellow with delicate green reflections. The nose immediately unfolds the typical, expressive bouquet of the grape variety: fresh aromas of lemon blossom, lime, and blackcurrant mingle with subtle, exotic notes of guava. On the palate, it is precise and bone-dry. A lively, assertive acidity lends the wine its tremendous freshness and vibrancy, while the finish is clear, slightly herbal, and long-lasting.
This Sauvignon Blanc is best served at a drinking temperature of 8–10 °C . It is an excellent accompaniment to light, fresh dishes. Pair it with a classic sea bream ceviche, gratinated goat cheese on mixed greens, grilled green asparagus, or pan-fried king prawns with herb and lemon butter. It is also a sure bet as a refreshing aperitif on a warm evening.
