Sauvignon Blanc Steinmühle QW Burgenland 0.75L
The Sauvignon Blanc Steinmühle from Kollwentz is one of the most distinctive white wines of Burgenland — not a pleasing mainstream Sauvignon, but a wine with a clear origin profile.
The Kollwentz-Römerhof winery in Großhöflein has been one of the leading wineries in Burgenland for decades. The Steinmühle vineyard sits on barren flint soils, which impart a distinctive minerality to the wine. A special feature: the vines are propagated from their own selected vines – no purchased clones, but rather a heritage cultivated over generations.
On the nose, the wine displays the typical Steinmühle spectrum, ranging from passion fruit and fresh herbs to a delicate flinty note that hints at its terroir. On the palate, it is dry, with a lively acidity and a long, spicy finish.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C . Pairs well with grilled char, goat cheese, or a summer asparagus salad with vinaigrette. Drinking window: now until 2027.
