Sangiovese Rosé

A rosé wine from the heart of Tuscany that combines the lightness of the south with the structure of one of Italy's most important red wine grape varieties. Here, the Sangiovese sheds its serious side and shows what it can do as a rosé: fresh, clear and with real character.

Castello di Radda is located in the middle of Chianti Classico, one of Italy's most traditional wine-growing regions. The high altitude of Radda in Chianti — around 530 meters above sea level — ensures cool nights, which preserve freshness and acidity in the wine. Sangiovese, the region's leading grape variety, is at home here.

In the glass, it shows a bright salmon pink. On the nose, fresh strawberry, blood orange and a hint of dried rose petals. Lively on the palate, with fine acidity and a dry, mineral-tinged finish — typical for Sangiovese from high altitudes.

Best served at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled vegetables, vitello tonnato, arugula pasta with Parmesan or a summery insalata di mare. Also a good choice as an aperitif.
