Rum Malecon Carta Blanca Rum from Panama

Malecon Carta Blanca is a white rum from Panama – mild, clean and with a fruity lightness that keeps it far away from flat mass-produced rums.

Malecon is one of Panama's most renowned distilleries and has been known for decades for its handcrafted rums. Carta Blanca is the first in the line: a young, clear rum that is filtered after distillation to emphasize purity and approachability – without sacrificing character.

In the glass, it is clear with a subtle hint of vanilla and tropical fruit – pineapple, a touch of coconut, and light floral notes. The palate is soft and round, the sweetness restrained, the finish short and clean. No harshness, no sharp edges.

Classically used: as a base in a Daiquiri or Mojito , where its fruitiness shines through without being overpowering. It also works well in a Panama Sour with lime and a splash of Oloroso sherry. If you like, you can enjoy it on the rocks – simple and straightforward. Serving temperature: 8–12 °C.
