Ried Sandberg Sauvignon Blanc QW Weinviertel 0.75L

Sauvignon Blanc from the Weinviertel has a clear signature: herbal, fresh, with a precision in its aromatics that sets this region apart from the great Sauvignon worlds. The Ried Sandberg from the Rudolf Fidesser winery shows exactly that — and adds a certified organic foundation to it.

The Fidesser winery works according to organic guidelines (AT-BIO-401) in the Weinviertel, Lower Austria's largest wine-growing region north of the Danube. The Ried Sandberg — as the name suggests — stands on sandy soil, which gives the Sauvignon Blanc a light-footedness and a distinct mineral line.

In the glass, it appears greenish-yellow with bright reflections. On the nose, typical Sauvignon aromatics: gooseberry, fresh nettle, a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, dry, with lively acidity and a herbal finish that clearly identifies its origin.

Serve well-chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with goat cheese, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, grilled vegetables, or a light salmon tartare.
