Ried Kapellenberg Grüner Veltliner QW Weinviertel 0.75L
The Grüner Veltliner from the Ried Kapellenberg is a single-vineyard wine from the Weinviertel — Austria's largest wine-growing region, known for loamy-sandy soils and a continental climate with cool nights that preserve acidity and spice in the grape variety.
The Rudolf Fidesser winery manages its vineyards organically (AT-BIO-401) and thus relies on a philosophy that brings the character of the origin to the fore. The Kapellenberg is a specifically designated Ried — a vineyard designation that stands for clearly defined origin in Austria.
The wine glows in a rich yellow in the glass. The nose reveals ripe pear, a hint of smoke, and the typical peppery spice of the Grüner Veltliner. Dry on the palate, with lively acidity and a spicy, lingering finish — the hallmark of the grape variety on good Weinviertel soils.
Pairs well with Wiener Schnitzel, fried zander with parsley potatoes, or young goat cheese. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
