That there are equally lovable people behind the likeable Cochonnet wines is something we were able to experience again at this year's Vinexpo. There we met Serge Dubois, a winemaker responsible for the Cochonnet wines. He proudly presented us with a sample of his supposedly best wine, and we realized after just a few sips that he had not promised us too much. The powerful yet elegant cuvée of old Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Grenache vines tasted excellent to us, and when he mentioned the price, we were simply stunned at first. We did not hesitate for long and set the idea of a Réserve du Cochonnet in motion so as not to withhold Serge's masterpiece from our customers.

On the nose, one discovers plums, cherry, and smoky tobacco notes in the Réserve du Cochonnet. In the mouth, delicate coffee notes and dark chocolate unfold. A pleasant, velvety finish.

The Domaine
Vignerons de la Vicomté – this is not a single winery, but an entire community: four cooperatives from the Hérault have joined forces in the heart of the Languedoc.
