Rémy Martin VSOP Fine Champagne is a classic Cognac from the Grande and Petite Champagne regions in the heart of the Charente – made exclusively from grapes from the two most prestigious Cognac growing areas in France.
Rémy Martin has been one of the most renowned houses in Cognac since 1724. The VSOP is the core of their range: a blend of several hundred eaux-de-vie, aged for at least four years in Limousin oak barrels. The Fine Champagne designation of origin signifies particularly chalky soils, which give the distillate its characteristic depth.
In the glass, it displays a bright golden hue with a coppery shimmer. The nose offers notes of apricot and ripe peach, underpinned by violet and rose. On the palate, vanilla emerges, the texture is soft with a subtle spiciness in the finish.
Neat at room temperature, it unfolds its full spectrum of aromas. With a large ice cube, the finish becomes slightly longer and fresher. Classically, it serves as the base for a sidecar cocktail or as a digestif after a multi-course meal.
