Puligny Montrachet AC 0.75L
Puligny-Montrachet is one of the great addresses of white Burgundy — and Maison Joseph Drouhin, rooted in Beaune since 1880, is one of the most reliable interpreters of this appellation. Their Puligny-Montrachet AC shows what distinguishes the village in the heart of the Côte de Beaune: Chardonnay on calcareous soil that combines freshness and substance in one glass.
In the glass, the wine glows in light golden yellow. The nose opens with white blossoms, fresh herbs, and a hint of ripe pear — typical for the floral elegance of the site. On the palate follows a taut, well-integrated acidity that keeps the wine lively, plus a creamy texture and a long, mineral-influenced finish with a fine saltiness.
It is best to drink it at 10–12 °C — with scallops with saffron sauce, turbot in beurre blanc, or a mature Comté. Those who drink it pure will find in it a wine that shows Burgundy in its classic form: precise, profound, without any heaviness.
