This vintage Prosecco from the single vineyard Rive di Guia shows what distinguishes Valdobbiadene DOCG Superiore from simple Prosecco: origin that you can taste in the glass.

Borgo Molino Vigne & Vini works in the steep hillside vineyards of Guia, one of the most respected crus in Valdobbiadene. The Rive classification stands for single-vineyard Prosecco with a vintage designation — a category that has only existed since 2009 and highlights the best hillside sites of the area. Exclusively Glera, the classic grape variety of the region, goes into the bottle here.

In the glass, fine, persistent perlage. The nose shows white peach, pear compote, and a hint of acacia blossom — typical for Glera from cool hillside sites. On the palate, light and lively, with fresh acidity and a dry, clean-mineral finish. The Brut dosage holds back the residual sugar and lets the fruit come through clearly.

Best served well-chilled at 6–8 °C — as an aperitif, with antipasti with mortadella and Grana, or with light fish dishes like branzino in a salt crust.
