Pink vintage-style tomatoes: Pomodoro literally means "golden apple," a fitting name for our mildly aromatic, yellow tomatoes. Sun-ripened and harvested seasonally in southern Italy, these fruits develop a pleasantly sweet flavor and, just like red tomatoes, are incredibly versatile in the kitchen. They are particularly rich in beta-carotene. Ideal for delicate pasta sauces or light fish and meat dishes. Whole, peeled, and in their own juice.
