Plantation Barbados Rum XO 20th Anniversary 40% vol.

A double-aged Barbados rum with 20 years of experience behind the recipe: Maison Ferrand's Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is first aged in American ex-bourbon barrels in Barbados before receiving a finish in French Cognac casks from the Charente region. It is precisely this second aging stage that shapes its character.

On the nose, dried apricot, honey, and a hint of leather. The palate reveals a creamy, almost oily texture with flavors of apricot jam, vanilla, and dark tobacco—underpinned by the typical Cognac fruitiness from the Limousin oak barrels. The finish brings cinnamon, ginger, and a pleasantly bitter note that lingers longer than expected.

It's at its best neat at room temperature—no ice to dilute its texture. For cocktails, it's equally impressive as a base for an Old Fashioned with orange bitters. Serving temperature: 18–20 °C.

Maison Ferrand

Maison Ferrand is no ordinary spirits producer. Since 1989, they have been crafting cognacs, rums, and gins that tell a story – of places, people, and a deep connection to the craft. Behind every drop lies genuine conviction: tradition meets curiosity, terroir meets innovation. Whether it's the elegant Ferrand Cognac from the heart of France, the vibrant Citadelle Gin from the south, or the Caribbean-inspired Planteray Rum from the coast of Barbados – each brand has its own unique soul. And you can taste it. As an independent family business, Maison Ferrand thinks in generations, not quarters. Sustainability and social responsibility are not just marketing promises, but a lived reality – from cultivation to bottling.
