Plaimont Terres d'Artagnan Rosé

A dry rosé from the southwest of France that offers more depth than the first sip suggests – fresh and aromatic, yet clearly structured.

Plaimont is one of the most important winegrowers' cooperatives in Gascony, founded in 1979 and today the guardian of the region's old grape varieties. The Terres d'Artagnan – named after the famous Gascon from Dumas' novels – is their flagship wine, producing approachable, characterful wines from the heart of Armagnac country.

In the glass, it displays a bright salmon pink. On the nose, red currant and strawberry mingle with a hint of guava and citrus peel. Lively and juicy on the palate, with a pleasant acidity that keeps the wine light and easy to drink – no sugar to dampen the freshness, no heavy finish.

  • Food: Grilled salmon trout, goat cheese salad, ratatouille or cold cuts platters
  • Temperature: 8–10 °C
  • Occasion: Summer evening on the terrace, relaxed lunch, aperitif with olives

Plaimont

Gascony – formerly known as "Pays de Cocagne," a land of plenty. Armagnac was the primary wine produced here until André Dubosc introduced the French Colombard grape variety to the Gers department in the late 1970s, revitalizing the region's winemaking tradition. Today, lush vineyards flourish, yielding fresh, flavorful wines with aromas of exotic fruits and citrus. The d'Artagnan wines mature in the Saint-Mont appellation, named after the fourth musketeer. Bold and fresh, just like the hero. Nearly 220 hectares are dedicated to producing wines with character. Gascony – not just for musketeers.
