Peninsula de Lisboa Branco IGP

Peninsula de Lisboa Branco IGP
An uncomplicated white wine from the Lisbon hinterland — fresh, juicy and ready for everyday use.
Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal is one of the oldest wineries in the Península de Lisboa region, north of the capital. For generations, this family-run business has cultivated vineyards in the Óbidos area, known for its Atlantic-influenced soils and cool sea breezes, which produce white wines with lively acidity.
On the nose, green apple, lime, and a hint of gooseberry, along with fresh herbal notes. On the palate, juicy and vibrant—the acidity is present but not sharp, keeping the wine lively. Light to medium-bodied, with a fresh and brisk finish.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with fried sardines, grilled vegetables with lemon oil, light pasta salad, or as an aperitif on warm evenings. A youthful drinking style — best opened now.

Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal
Since 1926, Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal has been making wines that tell the story of their home – the Óbidos region in the heart of Portugal, nestled between Atlantic breezes and ancient vines. Three quintas, three distinct characters: Quinta do Sanguinhal, Quinta das Cerejeiras, and Quinta de São Francisco. Each estate brings its own unique expression – and together they create a portrait of Portugal that you can taste in the glass: fresh, vibrant, and profound. What sets this family winery apart? The balance between respecting traditional craftsmanship and the courage to evolve. Sustainable vineyard management is an integral part of their approach – not as a marketing promise, but as a philosophy that has been practiced for generations. The DOC wines from Óbidos are still a true hidden gem – exactly what we at Vinoscout love.
