Pastourelle le Clerc-Milon

Pastourelle le Clerc-Milon is the second wine of Château Clerc-Milon, here in its first vintage: a Bordeaux with a sociable character, round and accessible, without heavy austerity.

The winery is located in Pauillac, is one of the Grands Crus Classés of 1855 and belongs to the Rothschild family. The second wine shows the house style in a lighter, more open form. Cabernet Sauvignon is stated as the grape variety. Regarding aging, the data sheet lists the category "Other"; more precise details on the vessel and duration are not available.

On the nose, an extravagant bouquet of crème de cassis and cherry brandy appears. On the palate, it is ripe and round, the tannins are soft. A hint of graphite runs through the black fruit, the finish remains simple and leaves a pinch of white pepper.

Serve it at 16–18 °C. It pairs well with rack of lamb, grilled entrecôte or strong hard cheese, but also with a relaxed evening with friends at the table.
