Oremus Tokaj Late Harvest 0.5L

A sweet wine from Tokaj that holds sweetness and freshness together: The Late Harvest 2024 vintage combines a creamy texture with lively acidity and therefore never feels heavy despite its fullness.

Tokaj in northeastern Hungary is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape. Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Sárgamuskotály, the three grape varieties of this cuvée, grow here. Botrytized Aszú grapes give the wine complexity and depth, as the berries shrink on the vine and concentrate sugar, acidity, and aromas.

In the glass, floral and citrus notes appear, with the Sárgamuskotály grape providing a fine Muscat aroma. On the palate, the wine is dense and creamy, the acidity keeps the sweetness in balance, and the finish is long. Serve it at 8–10 °C with foie gras, Roquefort, or apple tart with caramel. It also works on its own as a dessert in a small glass, for example at the end of a dinner.
