Extra virgin olive oil for sardines

This extra virgin olive oil from Sardinia is pressed from the Peranzana olive – a variety known for its balanced fruitiness and mild spiciness. It is bottled in a traditional clay jug with a colorful sardine motif, which protects the oil from light and is also a real eye-catcher in the kitchen.

The Peranzana is considered one of the finest olive varieties from southern Italy: medium-fruity profile, subtle bitterness, smooth finish with a hint of fresh herbs. Serving temperature: room temperature, do not heat. Best enjoyed neat on toasted bread, over grilled fish, or with summer tomato salads – the olive's fruitiness is most pronounced when served without heat.
