Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Vaucrains AC Premier Cru 0.75L
Les Vaucrains is considered one of the most distinctive Premier Cru vineyards in Nuits-Saint-Georges—deep, iron-rich soil, southeast exposure, and a dense structure. Robert Chevillon is one of the leading wineries in the Côte de Nuits: The family estate has cultivated some of the appellation's best parcels for generations and stands for meticulously crafted, age-worthy Burgundies without compromise.
In the glass, what distinguishes Nuits-Saint-Georges from its softer neighbors becomes apparent: dark cherry and blackberry, underpinned by earth, dried herbs, and a mineral note reminiscent of damp slate. The tannins are firm yet fine-grained—not a wine that imposes itself, but one that unfolds. A long, spicy finish with a slight iron note, typical of the Vaucrains terroir.
Drinking window: earliest from 2026, peaking between 2028 and 2038. Serving temperature 16–17 °C. At the table, it pairs well with venison medallions with juniper jus, braised oxtail, or a 24-month aged Époisses.
